Pseudosasa japonica ' Tsutsumiana'

Internodes on larger culms are expanded into a bottle shape. This effect is unfortunately rather hidden by culm sheaths. 

Mainly a collectors' plant but its slightly shorter growth habit and multitude of stems can be a useful feature where an expanding, low bush or groundcover is needed.

Average height 3m.

Suitable for sun or light shade.

Has tolerated -24C.

Well suited to containers.
