An upright bamboo capable of reaching at least 8m. Possibly one of the fastest growing Borinda's under UK conditions.

 Appears to be reasonably hardy and has the bluish culms characteristic of most Borinda's, though colouring is not especially intense.

 Believed to have tolerated -15C.

Shade tolerant.

Collected in Tibet near Station 116 in the Chu Valley at around 3,600m.

A new introduction which promises to be a highly impressive specimen plant.
