Phyllostachys bambusoides 'Holochrysa'
(syn. 'Allgold')

Superb glossy  canes with a unique orange/gold colour, possibly enhanced by light shade. Diameter up to 6cm.

Capable of spreading, especially with generous watering  and feeding  but normally forms a slowly expanding clump with luxuriant pale green foliage.  After ten years, spead if likely to be between 1m and 3m,

Suitable for sun or light shade.

Height 15ft.(5m) or more.

Has tolerated -15C but for colder areas, Phyllostachys vivax 'Aureocaulis'  is a hardier alternative.

Outstanding as a large specimen plant and can also be used for  screening except in very cold or exposed districts.

 Not well suited to growing in containers.
