Pleioblastus argenteostriatus
'Okinadake' |
||
Forms a slowly expanding clump of thin, upright culms, reaching a height of about 0.75m. In summer the foliage is strikingly variegated with longitudinal cream stripes but during winter it is largely shed in a similar way to that of Pleioblastus auricomus. Mature clumps may benefit from being trimmed to ground level in winter. Suitable for sun or semi-shade and has tolerated -15C. A well behaved specimen plant for the front of a border and also suitable for containers. Very limited stocks at present. |
