Borinda maccluriana KR 5051
This species is new to cultivation and its characteristics are not yet fully known.
It was collected at an elevation of 11,000 ft. (3,400 m) and has so far proved to be hardy in the UK.
Forms strong culms with average height after ten years likely to be about 21ft. (6.5m).
Vase-shaped growth habit and medium sized leaves
When young, the culms are blue-grey.
Originated from Pe, Dochong La, S.E.Tibet.
A non-running bamboo very suitable as a specimen plant or screen.
