A hardy upright bamboo suitable as a windbreak or hedge.
Very tough and worth trying for difficult maritime exposure.
Plentiful vertical culms up to about
14ft.(5m) high with a diameter of up to 3cm.Potentially running but not usually hard to control.
Has tolerated -25C.
Very limited availability.
