Yushania chungii
(syn. Yushania brevipaniculata)

A  recent  introduction from China which is expected to reach a height of around 6 to 8ft. (2.4m).

Has an open growth habit forming a slowly expanding clump. 

Dark green culms, initionally with a waxy bloom.

Attracive foliage.

Sun or light shade.

A hardy species which has tolerated -20C. and should be easily grown in most gardens. 

Useful as a low screen, even on exposed sites. Also suitable for containers.
